FC Sokół Sosnowiec's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walery Winszman ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Sokół Sosnowiec's goalie and right to Cyprian Wojton. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Sokół Sosnowiec's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Lukasz Arbaszewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Sokół Sosnowiec's Ziemowit Malewicki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Motyl got free with Ziemowit Malewicki in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mlodzierzy booed when FC Sokół Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartlomiej Hodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Tobiasz Mochadlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waclaw Grabski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Igor Wrzosek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Sokół Sosnowiec's Tobiasz Mochadlo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Jan Wojtowicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ziemowit Malewicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukasz Arbaszewski in the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobiasz Mochadlo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mlodzierzy getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gilbert Pruss hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Igor Motyl notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Sokół Sosnowiec's Ziemowit Malewicki. Ziemowit Malewicki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tobiasz Mochadlo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Sokół Sosnowiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobiasz Mochadlo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waclaw Grabski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tobiasz Mochadlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Waclaw Grabski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lukasz Arbaszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ziemowit Malewicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Motyl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, FC Sokół Sosnowiec's Jan Wojtowicz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waclaw Grabski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of FC Sokół Sosnowiec booed when Mlodzierzy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Danisiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waclaw Grabski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Wojtowicz in the 88th minute. Jan Wojtowiczs short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Waclaw Grabski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Mlodzierzy's zone, Jan Wojtowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waclaw Grabski came out of the goal and Jan Wojtowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mlodzierzy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Sokół Sosnowiec for a fine match.
