Podobowice SA's Wawrzyniec Osowski got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Śląsk 1947 Wrocław's Klement Dzierwa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Śląsk 1947 Wrocław from getting a goal against them. Wojciech Czeszejko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Dzierwa having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Wawrzyniec Osowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Śląsk 1947 Wrocław's Klement Dzierwa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Klement Dzierwa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaroslaw Wiater made a kick off. Edward Jaszyna hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Wojciech Czeszejko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Podobowice SA booed when Śląsk 1947 Wrocław was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Jaszyna didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wojciech Czeszejko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Śląsk 1947 Wrocław's Roman Cielencki threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaroslaw Wiater, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Roman Cielencki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Podobowice SA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Śląsk 1947 Wrocław to win.
