Ludomil Filipowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lędziny KGP. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludomir Augustyn in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Kornatowski saved Lędziny KGP from getting behind. If Leszek Wozniak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute Leszek Wozniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Filipowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldemar Kornatowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ksawery Zagrodny went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Lędziny KGP booed when Gontarze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Absolwent didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leszek Wozniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ludomil Filipowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Mikolaj Absolwent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the game, Zbigniew Andrychowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gontarze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lędziny KGP the free kick. Gontarze's Ludomil Filipowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Wozniak in the 36th minute of play. Witalis Tepper might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ludomil Filipowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Witalis Tepper ran back to his position shaking his head. Ludomil Filipowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witalis Tepper, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Leszek Wozniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gontarze's Ludomil Filipowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Wozniak in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ludomir Augustyn was the one to do the kick off. When Zbigniew Andrychowski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. Zbigniew Andrychowski hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Wozniak in the 60th minute of play forced Gontarze's goalkeeper Ludomil Filipowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leszek Wozniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ludomil Filipowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludomil Filipowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leszek Wozniak's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Gontarze's Ludomil Filipowski got control of the ball when Witalis Tepper tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute Ksawery Zagrodny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Kornatowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ksawery Zagrodny scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar Kornatowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leszek Wozniak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomil Filipowski having to interfere. If Witalis Tepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Gontarze's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Wozniak came free, but Ludomil Filipowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Leszek Wozniak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lędziny KGP's supporters rose to their feet, but Leszek Wozniak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludomil Filipowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lędziny KGP's Waldemar Kornatowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolaj Absolwent in the 96th minute of play.
