The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Slawomir Orszak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gostynin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TOTKI FC the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Gostynin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slawomir Orszak to maneuver through the defense. Sylwester Sowa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylwester Tyskie, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Stanislaw Faron came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Gostynin's Witomir Soroka. But to his dismay, Witomir Soroka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Stanislaw Faron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witomir Soroka in the 27th minute of play. Sylwester Sowa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walery Ludwiczak in the 30th minute. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Walery Ludwiczak sped through Gostynin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sylwester Sowa. Sylwester Sowa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylwester Tyskie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, TOTKI FC's Sylwester Tyskie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sylwester Sowa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gostynin's Slawomir Orszak got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Witomir Trela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sylwester Tyskie to strike the kick off in the second half. When TOTKI FC's Walery Ludwiczak, in the 55th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for TOTKI FC. After a rather tough play, Gostynin's Slawomir Orszak got a free kick in the 60th minute. Karol Walec was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sylwester Tyskie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sylwester Sowa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Gostynin's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Tyskie came free, but Sylwester Sowa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kajetan Ziombkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sylwester Sowa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sylwester Tyskie went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Witomir Soroka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Stanislaw Faron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Sylwester Tyskie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Sylwester Tyskie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kajetan Ziombkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Faron having to interfere. Witomir Trela hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Sylwester Tyskie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sylwester Sowa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
