Graboszewo's Kryspin Walczak shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcin Marchlewicz but with some difficulty. Aleksander Ziemba did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Marcin Marchlewicz 20 minutes into the match. Marcin Marchlewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleksander Ziemba in the 23rd minute. Aleksander Ziemba might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcin Marchlewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aleksander Ziemba ran back to his position shaking his head. Norbert Brzeszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waclaw Dresik in the 27th minute of play. Miromir Grucza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Brzeszczak having to interfere. Marcin Marchlewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Lato in the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Miromir Grucza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Madryt's supporters rose to their feet, but Miromir Grucza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Brzeszczak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Graboszewo's goal looked a bit too open when Waclaw Dresik came free, but Norbert Brzeszczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Miromir Grucza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Madryt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miromir Grucza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waclaw Dresik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Norbert Brzeszczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waclaw Dresik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miromir Grucza succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 52nd playminute. Norbert Brzeszczak was a little too slow when Waclaw Dresik got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 59th minute, Kryspin Walczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miromir Grucza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Brzeszczak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Krzysztof Debowski during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Waldemar Lato kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Waldemar Lato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Graboszewo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Lato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hieronim Szotek in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcin Marchlewicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atlético Madryt's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
