The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jacek Chuchro fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grondy's protests and gave Jacek Chuchro a yellow card for diving instead. Ludomil Klewinski charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ludomil Klewinski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ludomil Klewinski kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Napoleon Rybak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Brietzen SSA's Bartosz Jajesniak got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Grondy's Gilbert Gdaniec tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Grondy's Radomir Skaradowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldemar Borowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Grondy getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Andrzej Czeszyk hit a great ball. Napoleon Rybak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Podowski having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Skaradowski in the 33rd minute of play forced Brietzen SSA's goalkeeper Waldemar Borowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurand Korytkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Borowski having to interfere. Waldemar Borowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Skaradowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Wojciech Podowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Napoleon Rybak in the 41st minute of play. When Radowit Wielowiejski came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Brietzen SSA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radowit Wielowiejski couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Radowit Wielowiejski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojciech Podowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radowit Wielowiejski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Arkadiusz Serwacki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Napoleon Rybak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Radowit Wielowiejski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Podowski having to interfere. Hieronim Lampe kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Hieronim Lampe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Napoleon Rybak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Wojciech Podowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldemar Borowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Skaradowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Radomir Skaradowski struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Waldemar Borowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grondy. In the 92nd minute, Hieronim Lampe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radomir Skaradowski struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Waldemar Borowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grondy. 96 minutes into the game, Jurand Korytkowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Waldemar Borowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
