Spectators: 7170 (Terracing: 5352, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zdzislaw Tokarczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Gniewek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Roman Sadlowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zdzislaw Tokarczyk. Semlinek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Sadlowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 26th minute, Cyryl Brudzisz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Semlinek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Semlinek's zone, Bogdan Gniewek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zdzislaw Tokarczyk came out of the goal and Bogdan Gniewek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, Semlinek's Leszek Penczkowski made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerzy Trojanowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of MATKOZ booed when Semlinek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Gollob didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Gniewek made a kick off. If Bogdan Gniewek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bogdan Gniewek came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the MATKOZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Gniewek couldn't finish the play. When Marian Drugi fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Semlinek eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
