Zbyszek Lampe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janusz Ciempa having to interfere. If Tomasz Henryk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Slawomir Sidorowicz in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janusz Ciempa saved Pieckel from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Slawomir Sidorowicz made the kick off in the second half. Slawomir Sidorowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Janusz Ciempa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Pieckel got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Trela. Roland Kochniarczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Oleszak in the 94th minute of play. Janusz Ciempa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Sidorowicz in the 99th minute of the match.
