The supporters of Ubrodowice SA booed when Gruszewnia SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyprian Byczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gruszewnia SSA's zone, Filip Mleczewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wojciech Spychalski came out of the goal and Filip Mleczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wojciech Spychalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Mleczewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Michal Bochinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Boleslaw Niedziela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojciech Spychalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Szymon Zacharek put in a rough tackle. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ubrodowice SA! When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Gruszewnia SSA's Lech Rosiewicz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lucjan Wykowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Czekaj in the 41st minute of play forced Gruszewnia SSA's goalkeeper Wojciech Spychalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dariusz Brataniec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Bernard Terasek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ubrodowice SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gruszewnia SSA the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Ubrodowice SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Terasek to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Filip Mleczewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radoslaw Dziurowicz made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ubrodowice SA's Bernard Terasek. Filip Mleczewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Spychalski having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Filip Mleczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ubrodowice SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Mleczewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wojciech Spychalski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Michal Bochinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Filip Mleczewski came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ubrodowice SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Mleczewski couldn't finish the play. Ubrodowice SA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
