The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iwo Rutecki's late challenge caught a KOBRA MANIE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 6th minute Olaf Marciewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojciech Spychalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Borys Kosiorek fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KOBRA MANIE's protests and gave Borys Kosiorek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, KOBRA MANIE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Kosiorek to maneuver through the defense. Ludomir Niewiadomski was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lech Rosiewicz. If Dariusz Brataniec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dariusz Brataniec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludomir Niewiadomski was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. If Dariusz Brataniec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the game, Borys Kosiorek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gruszewnia SSA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jaroslaw Duszenski kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Wojciech Spychalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Charlap in the 48th minute of play. After the first half KOBRA MANIE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dariusz Brataniec made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Gustaw Charlap dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wojciech Spychalski, 0-2. A collision led to Gruszewnia SSA getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jaroslaw Duszenski hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Olaf Marciewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Gustaw Charlap managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KOBRA MANIE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaw Charlap was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wojciech Spychalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaw Charlap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of KOBRA MANIE booed when Gruszewnia SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyprian Byczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Marciewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Spychalski having to interfere. Michal Bochinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dariusz Brataniec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Borys Kosiorek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lech Rosiewicz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dariusz Brataniec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Michal Bochinski made a precise shot to the right of Ludomir Niewiadomski. KOBRA MANIE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Wojciech Spychalski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olaf Marciewicz in the 83rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olaf Marciewicz got free with Wojciech Spychalski in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wojciech Spychalski made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Olaf Marciewicz sent off a good shot on target. The KOBRA MANIE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KOBRA MANIE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
