Tolek Fafinski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jurand Wietrzychowski. Marjampol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Damned United booed when Marjampol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Gerlach didn't get a good kick on the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Pawel Czermak elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Marjampol's goal looked a bit too open when Krzysztof Trela came free, but Jurand Wietrzychowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Radomir Paraszczuk fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marjampol's protests and gave Radomir Paraszczuk a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Marjampol getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Radomir Paraszczuk hit a great ball. Damned United's Krzysztof Gleba couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. In the 77th minute Pawel Czermak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janusz Zatorski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Zygmunt Waselewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marjampol's Bartosz Zdrojowy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Janusz Zatorski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Damned United's Iwo Charlos got a free kick in the 91st minute. Olaf Prokowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pawel Czermak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janusz Zatorski having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Marjampol were victorious despite being under pressure from Damned United for much of the match.
