In the 24thth minute of the game Stefan Lemiesz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sandecja Nowy Sącz's Zbyszko Barciniak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. During the 59th minute of the match Jacek Gaszynski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. Iwo Czciborek's late challenge caught a Mikołów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
