Dariusz Lizewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mateusz Wlodyga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience held their breath when Wincent Bialakowski in the 19th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Michal Wawro's left hand side. When Wincent Bialakowski came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Myczków fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincent Bialakowski couldn't finish the play. Myczków's Mateusz Wlodyga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Myczków from getting a goal against them. Iwo Chmelyk's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mateusz Wlodyga firmly grabbed it by the left post. Michal Wawro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincent Bialakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Wincent Bialakowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Myczków's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincent Bialakowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dariusz Lizewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Iwo Chmelyk came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Legia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwo Chmelyk couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Jan Hodyl suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Myczków getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Herbert Kisiel hit a great ball. Legia Warszawa's Maciej Zagrobelny got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iwo Chmelyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Myczków's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ulryk Bentkowski in the 56th minute. Wincent Bialakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Witalis Marchefka got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Myczków getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Fabian Fleszar hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Iwo Chmelyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateusz Wlodyga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute Wincent Bialakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michal Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincent Bialakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Iwo Chmelyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
