The audience was convinced that Lucjan Duszenski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grzegorz Wietrzychowski was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Sunrise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucjan Duszenski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Dongen SA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Mieszko Karbowski came free, but Grzegorz Wietrzychowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mieszko Karbowski in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grzegorz Wietrzychowski saved Sunrise from getting behind. If Lucjan Duszenski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
