In the 21st minute, Bydgoszcz PL's Emil Piechocki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfred Boruta. Alfred Boruta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 26th minute, but Alfred Boruta got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola hanging dry this time. Emil Piechockis short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Alfred Boruta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hieronim Giejda to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Giejda in the 55th minute of play forced ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola's goalkeeper Alfred Boruta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Emil Piechocki came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Bydgoszcz PL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Piechocki couldn't finish the play. The ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Boruta should have stopped the shot. Hieronim Giejda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Boruta having to interfere. Emil Piechocki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alfred Boruta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mieszko Zawaski hit a great ball. Emil Piechocki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Boruta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola's Aureliusz Fleszar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damazy Matela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
