The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marian Zuraw was the one to do the kick off. Klement Glapiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wlodzimierz Dziuma having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind KP Polonia Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Dziuma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to KP Polonia Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Waldemar Witkowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KP Polonia Bydgoszcz. The supporters of Filowiec booed when KP Polonia Bydgoszcz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fryderyk Grunwalski didn't get a good kick on the ball.
