Edgar Wallach started the match with the kick off. After 11 played minutes Blue Stars got a freekick which was hit by Karol Trzaskoma. Zbyszek Kochowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstanty Harendarski having to interfere. In the 17th minute Gilbert Pyrzyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Burdalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the MKS Orzeł Kokotek defense, Miroslaw Czubski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugeniusz Burdalski. The MKS Orzeł Kokotek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugeniusz Burdalski should have stopped the shot. Konstanty Harendarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Hejza, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Miroslaw Czubski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugeniusz Burdalski having to interfere. Edgar Wallach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugeniusz Burdalski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Miroslaw Czubski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miroslaw Czubski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pawel Chazen fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MKS Orzeł Kokotek's protests and gave Pawel Chazen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MKS Orzeł Kokotek getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Pawel Chazen hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Miroslaw Czubski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Wallach kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugeniusz Burdalski. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. Edgar Wallach might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugeniusz Burdalski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Wallach ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugeniusz Burdalski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miroslaw Czubski went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogdan Hejza to make the kick off. Eugeniusz Burdalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Wallach in the 57th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilbert Pyrzyce during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilbert Pyrzyce hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Miroslaw Czubski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Burdalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Miroslaw Czubski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. One of Blue Stars:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MKS Orzeł Kokotek:s goal. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for MKS Orzeł Kokotek. Mieszko Oliszewski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Konstanty Harendarski. 3-1. Edgar Wallach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eugeniusz Burdalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert Pyrzyce got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 92 minutes into the game, Edmund Weyna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MKS Orzeł Kokotek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blue Stars the free kick. Edgar Wallach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MKS Orzeł Kokotek's Eugeniusz Burdalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Galaska in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Edgar Wallach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Eugeniusz Burdalski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Blue Stars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
