Norbert Wielowiejski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tymoteusz Wielgopolski's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. If Zbigniew Juroszek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Juventus Turyn were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludomil Wawrukiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Underdark's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludomil Wawrukiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvin van der Sar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julian Lizewski hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Juventus Turyn's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
