After 14 minutes of play, lech poznan's Hieronim Olszewski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Piesciuk was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in lech poznan's zone, Miromir Filipowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boleslaw Pliszka came out of the goal and Miromir Filipowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hieronim Olszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Piesciuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hieronim Olszewski in the 22nd minute of the match. Rosmierka SSA's Igor Piesciuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hieronim Olszewski in the 28th minute of play. Miromir Filipowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Boleslaw Pliszka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Feliks Gacki came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the lech poznan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliks Gacki couldn't finish the play.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hieronim Olszewski got free with Igor Piesciuk in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boleslaw Pliszka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Skwira, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Tymoteusz Turek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boleslaw Pliszka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hieronim Olszewskis short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Igor Piesciuk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. lech poznan's Hieronim Olszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
