SG Wirringen's supporters rose to their feet, but Frieder Köffers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Frieder Köffers came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. August Bamberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. The supporters of SG Wirringen booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, SG Wirringen's Stephan Stößer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 47th minute Frieder Köffers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frieder Köffers was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malte Schiele during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. SG Wirringen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
