The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ulryk Grucza put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bogumil Ogrodowicz. Edward Bucyki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ulryk Grucza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogumil Ogrodowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoni Kochanowicz in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Antoni Kochanowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Szklarka getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Grzegorz Pisarcik hit a great ball. If Bogdan Trochowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bogdan Trochowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walery Komanski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Trochowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Bucyki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jerzy Michnik fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lindenort SSA's protests and gave Jerzy Michnik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lindenort SSA booed when Szklarka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Dyczkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugon Domin, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bogumil Ogrodowicz was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Miroslaw Tscherner capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Szklarka's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulryk Grucza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogumil Ogrodowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walery Komanski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Bucyki, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Edward Bucyki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lindenort SSA's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Bucyki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walery Komanski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartosz Marczyniec during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Szklarka! Hugon Domin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Bogdan Trochowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Szklarka had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
