Tanek Gdaniec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Wawrzyniec Rzeszutko made a huge save. After having played for 21 minutes, Boguslaw Kieca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bartodzieje Bydgoszcz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boguslaw Kieca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Radziejowa's Wawrzyniec Rzeszutko got control of the ball when Tanek Gdaniec tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filip Bendyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Wierzcholek, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Stefan Fiszer fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radziejowa's protests and gave Stefan Fiszer a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Radziejowa got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Fiszer. Filip Bendyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Szkarpiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Tanek Gdaniec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldemar Wierzcholek was the one to do the kick off. If Boguslaw Kieca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tanek Gdaniec came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Bartodzieje Bydgoszcz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tanek Gdaniec couldn't finish the play. Stefan Fiszer hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Radziejowa's Wawrzyniec Rzeszutko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Kieca in the 76th minute of play. Bartodzieje Bydgoszcz had won after a very even match.
