After a rather tough play, Ruch Chorzów's Dariusz Maziarz got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 36th match minute, Perthnam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Zieba to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylwester Kendra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
