A collision led to Widzew Łódź getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Feliks Kon hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Szymon Motyl managed to get in a good position for a shot. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's supporters rose to their feet, but Szymon Motyl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakub Malik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 6 minutes of play, MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Niek Wander made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jakub Malik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jakub Malik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gao Gang in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Bielatowicz in the 11th minute of play forced Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Jakub Malik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakub Malik came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Radomil Bielatowicz. But to his dismay, Radomil Bielatowicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Niek Wander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Walter Kruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Radomil Bielatowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakub Malik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Gao Gang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jakub Malik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 31 minutes into the match, Gao Gang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jakub Malik. Widzew Łódź's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gao Gang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Jakub Malik didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Niek Wander shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-7 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 43rd minute, Radomil Bielatowicz made a precise shot to the right of Jakub Malik. Widzew Łódź's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Niek Wander got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With 57 minutes on the clock, Artur Karanewski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 57th minute, one of Widzew Łódź:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Widzew Łódź. In the 60th minute, MZKS Sharks Gdynia got a penalty, and Güntekin Enginer placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Radomil Bielatowicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jakub Malik came out and tried to block the shot, but Radomil Bielatowicz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 64th minute. Jakub Malik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Bielatowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute of the match, Niek Wander got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jakub Malik was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jakub Malik made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Anthony Lucentini sent off a good shot on target. Widzew Łódź's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Radomil Bielatowicz scored to the left of an out of position Jakub Malik, making the score, 0-12. When Feliks Kon fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Widzew Łódź's protests and gave Feliks Kon a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Widzew Łódź got a freekick which was hit by Feliks Kon. The crowd rose to their feet as MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Szymon Motyl slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jakub Malik. That made the score 0-13 after 78 minutes of play. Jakub Malik was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Camilo Mena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Camilo Mena really showed his touch with that goal: 0-14. After 88 minutes, Niek Wander made it 0-15 with a short kick to the right side. Widzew Łódź's Jakub Malik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Radomil Bielatowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakub Malik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes Widzew Łódź got a freekick which was hit by Borys Dziewulski. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Niek Wander got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jakub Malik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Bielatowicz in the 95th minute of play. The supporters of MZKS Sharks Gdynia booed when Widzew Łódź was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borys Dziewulski didn't get a good kick on the ball. MZKS Sharks Gdynia played a much better game than Widzew Łódź and deserved their victory. The Widzew Łódź players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
