After 3 minutes, Teofil Skarpiak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Sosnowiec and the Stuposiany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cezary Dziewedik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kazimierz Hoffman fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stuposiany's protests and gave Kazimierz Hoffman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Stuposiany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazimierz Hoffman to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 9 minutes, Edin Džeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Sosnowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edin Džeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cezary Dziewedik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edin Džeko, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A collision led to Stuposiany getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Julian Jaroch hit a great ball. Edin Džeko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stuposiany's Cezary Dziewedik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 15th minute of play. Cezary Dziewedik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Lewkowicz in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Stuposiany getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Julian Jaroch hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Korneliusz Lato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th match minute, F.C. Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofil Skarpiak to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezary Dziewedik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Edin Džeko made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stuposiany's Cezary Dziewedik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Boleslaw Rzegotka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kacper Tobiáš came out and tried to block the shot, but Boleslaw Rzegotka slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 33rd minute. Cezary Dziewedik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edin Džeko went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Wiktor Mnich hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

53 minutes into the game, F.C. Sosnowiec's Edin Džeko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cezary Dziewedik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. With a little luck, Stuposiany's Cezary Dziewedik got control of the ball when Edin Džeko tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Esbjörnsson. A collision led to F.C. Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Edin Džeko hit a great ball. Edin Džeko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cezary Dziewedik came out and tried to block the shot, but Edin Džeko slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Edin Džeko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Sosnowiec fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Cezary Dziewedik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edin Džeko showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 73 minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Stuposiany's goal looked a bit too open when Edin Džeko came free, but Cezary Dziewedik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konstanty Literski walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 95th minute, Wiktor Cwynar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. F.C. Sosnowiec walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
