The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, one of Stal Stalowa Wola:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stal Stalowa Wola. Zdzislaw Rode recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Gandzia Mafia Gostyń booed when Stal Stalowa Wola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Cwenar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jerzy Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Kajetan Lewicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute of the match Witomir Charlos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonard Puzio skillfully saved the ball. If Jerzy Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute, Bartlomiej Pierz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gandzia Mafia Gostyń fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Gdowski got free with Leonard Puzio in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonard Puzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Rode in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Stal Stalowa Wola getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Tobiasz Prusek hit a great ball. Bartlomiej Pierz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 minutes of play, Gandzia Mafia Gostyń's Jerzy Badanowski made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juliusz Seliga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zdzislaw Rode in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Puzio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zdzislaw Rode made a kick off. If Kajetan Lewicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerzy Badanowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juliusz Seliga having to make a save. In the 64th minute, Zdzislaw Rode hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerzy Badanowski got free with Juliusz Seliga in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gandzia Mafia Gostyń's Leonard Puzio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Gdowski in the 68th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Hieronim Zdrojowy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stal Stalowa Wola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gandzia Mafia Gostyń the free kick. A collision led to Stal Stalowa Wola getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hieronim Zdrojowy hit a great ball. When Jerzy Badanowski came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Gandzia Mafia Gostyń fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Badanowski couldn't finish the play. Ludomir Zarobski's late challenge caught a Gandzia Mafia Gostyń's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ludomir Zarobski helped the player get up and apologised. Ludomir Zarobski kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Stal Stalowa Wola getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Bogdan Cwenar hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Stal Stalowa Wola's goalkeeper Juliusz Seliga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerzy Badanowski. Leonard Puzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Gdowski in the 89th minute of play. Jacek Solak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kajetan Lewicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Juliusz Seliga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Gandzia Mafia Gostyń left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stal Stalowa Wola.
