The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, GKS Bełchatów's Napoleon Buczko got a free kick in the 2nd minute. GKS Bełchatów's Zenon Gondek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Pasterski in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Me Myself and I's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Oleszak came free, but Bernard Bubczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Klawke in the 10th minute of play forced Me Myself and I's goalkeeper Bernard Bubczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Przemyslaw Zima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zenon Gondek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, GKS Bełchatów's goalkeeper Zenon Gondek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wladyslaw Adamus. Zenon Gondek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacek Laskowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernard Bubczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Napoleon Buczko in the 20th minute of play. Zenon Gondek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Zacharzewski in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, GKS Bełchatów's goalkeeper Zenon Gondek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quintin Abastas. In the 25th minute, Me Myself and I's Quintin Abastas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, GKS Bełchatów's goal looked a bit too open when Kaare Wilkes came free, but Zenon Gondek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fryderyk Oleszak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernard Bubczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Oleszak in the 37th minute of play. Zenon Gondek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Pasterski in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Me Myself and I booed when GKS Bełchatów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Topolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Me Myself and I's Przemyslaw Zima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zenon Gondek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 46 minutes, Roland Pasterski made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. GKS Bełchatów's Zenon Gondek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fryderyk Oleszak was the one to do the kick off. Kaare Wilkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Hajduk hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Kaare Wilkes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Zenon Gondek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Roland Pasterski came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Me Myself and I fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Pasterski couldn't finish the play. Przemyslaw Zima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zenon Gondek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Pasterski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd match minute, Me Myself and I was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antoni Domaracki to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, Me Myself and I's Roland Pasterski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zenon Gondek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Zenon Gondek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Pasterski in the 80th minute of the match. Napoleon Buczko's late challenge caught a Me Myself and I's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Napoleon Buczko helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to GKS Bełchatów getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Napoleon Buczko hit a great ball. Roland Pasterski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Zenon Gondek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Pasterski struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Zenon Gondek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Me Myself and I. Roland Pasterski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenon Gondek having to make a save. If Roland Pasterski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Pasterski struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Zenon Gondek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Me Myself and I. When the referee ended the match the Me Myself and I players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
