When Aureliusz Borucki came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Wiszno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliusz Borucki couldn't finish the play. After having played for 10 minutes, Ludomir Cichocki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wiszno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomir Cichocki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th match minute, Wiszno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Giec to maneuver through the defense. Artur Wojtowicz, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to GKS Bełchatów getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Artur Wojtowicz hit a great ball. GKS Bełchatów's Zenon Gondek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliusz Borucki in the 23rd minute of play. Napoleon Buczko kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ludomir Cichocki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenon Gondek having to make a save. Ludomir Cichocki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Gondek having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, GKS Bełchatów's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Cichocki came free, but Zenon Gondek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Gondek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludomir Cichocki in the 30th minute of play. Dariusz Prus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zenon Gondek. GKS Bełchatów's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute Ludomir Cichocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Gondek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenon Gondek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludomir Cichocki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ludomir Cichocki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zenon Gondek was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fryderyk Oleszak was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Aureliusz Borucki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zenon Gondek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Aureliusz Borucki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aureliusz Borucki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Gondek having to interfere. Zenon Gondek made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Aureliusz Borucki sent off a good shot on target. Zenon Gondek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Cichocki in the 66th minute of the match. Aureliusz Borucki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Gondek having to interfere. Zenon Gondek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludomir Cichocki in the 78th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Napoleon Buczko during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Napoleon Buczko kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Aureliusz Borucki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Gondek having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wiszno's zone, Fryderyk Oleszak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliusz Makomaski came out of the goal and Fryderyk Oleszak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Napoleon Buczko hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Wiszno's Jan Domarecki broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, GKS Bełchatów's Zenon Gondek got control of the ball when Aureliusz Borucki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zenon Gondek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludomir Cichocki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiszno played a much better game than GKS Bełchatów and deserved their victory. The GKS Bełchatów players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
