Zenon Gondek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Hoffman in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Bełchatów's zone, Miroslaw Krzynowek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenon Gondek came out of the goal and Miroslaw Krzynowek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Zygmunt Hoffman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cidry fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Miroslaw Krzynowek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Gondek having to interfere. Witalis Lato charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Witalis Lato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Witalis Lato hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Zenon Gondek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Krzynowek in the 19th minute of the match. Sebastian Klawke succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Cidry's Mikolaj Cipinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cidry from getting a goal against them. Gustaw Wojtowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Cidry booed when GKS Bełchatów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Oborski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the GKS Bełchatów defense, Zygmunt Hoffman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Gondek. The GKS Bełchatów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Gondek should have stopped the shot. In the 36thth minute of the game Miroslaw Krzynowek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Bełchatów's Zenon Gondek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Zygmunt Hoffman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zenon Gondek. GKS Bełchatów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zygmunt Hoffman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Miroslaw Krzynowek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cidry's supporters rose to their feet, but Miroslaw Krzynowek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zenon Gondek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

If Zygmunt Hoffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes, Gustaw Wojtowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cidry and the GKS Bełchatów players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Cidry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaw Wojtowicz to maneuver through the defense. Miroslaw Krzynowek's late challenge caught a GKS Bełchatów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zygmunt Hoffman struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Zenon Gondek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cidry. Zygmunt Hoffman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Cidry's Zygmunt Hoffman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zenon Gondek. That made the score 1-4 after 69 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslaw Krzynowek in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zenon Gondek saved GKS Bełchatów from getting behind. Mikolaj Cipinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Oleszak in the 75th minute of play. Sebastian Klawke scored 2-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mikolaj Cipinski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miroslaw Krzynowek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Miroslaw Krzynowek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GKS Bełchatów's Napoleon Buczko got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Zygmunt Hoffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes of play GKS Bełchatów's Witalis Lato was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Miroslaw Krzynowek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zenon Gondek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Cidry left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GKS Bełchatów.
