Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Borys Cwojdak started the match with the kick off. Tiedmannsdorf's Teobald Jajko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borys Cwojdak in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Tiedmannsdorf's Iwan Penczkowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tobiasz Pierz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Tiedmannsdorf's goalkeeper Teobald Jajko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Mitus. After 13 minutes of play, GKS Katowice's Borys Cwojdak made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teobald Jajko was left in no man's land by his defense there! GKS Katowice's Tobiasz Pierz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaroslaw Mios in the 20th minute of play. Radomir Prusinowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Iwan Penczkowski came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Tiedmannsdorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwan Penczkowski couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Iwan Penczkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tiedmannsdorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GKS Katowice the free kick. Herbert Gmoch hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Teobald Jajko made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Witold Rutkowski sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, GKS Katowice's Teobald Jajko threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ludomil Piesciuk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Herbert Gmoch kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Katowice's zone, Olgierd Charamut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobiasz Pierz came out of the goal and Olgierd Charamut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Tiedmannsdorf booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witomir Pacholewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olgierd Labus in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobiasz Pierz saved GKS Katowice from getting behind. When Franciszek Grabski came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Tiedmannsdorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franciszek Grabski couldn't finish the play. In the 58thth minute of the game Olgierd Labus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Katowice's Tobiasz Pierz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teobald Jajko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Cwojdak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes GKS Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Boleslaw Mazierski. When Borys Cwojdak came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the GKS Katowice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borys Cwojdak couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Labus came free, but Tobiasz Pierz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olgierd Charamut's late challenge caught a GKS Katowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olgierd Charamut helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tiedmannsdorf getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Olgierd Charamut hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes GKS Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Ludomil Piesciuk. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Katowice's zone, Olgierd Labus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobiasz Pierz came out of the goal and Olgierd Labus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radomir Prusinowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teobald Jajko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Borys Cwojdak's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. A collision led to Tiedmannsdorf getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Olgierd Charamut hit a great ball. Teobald Jajko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witold Rutkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiedmannsdorf were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
