Zbyszko Ligas came out of the goal and Jacek Wolczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leszek Niedzwiecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Ligas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leszek Niedzwiecki got free with Zbyszko Ligas in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leszek Niedzwiecki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Zbyszko Ligas made a huge save. Radoslaw Major showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Kasprzykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów's Florian Okropny looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After 56 played minutes Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów got a freekick which was hit by Florian Czajka. Jacek Wolczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Juliusz Degutis hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Florian Okropny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radoslaw Major was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. If Florian Okropny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów's zone, Leszek Niedzwiecki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Niedzwiecki in the 97th minute of play forced Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów's goalkeeper Zbyszko Ligas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
