Andrzej Logewnik came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Republika Grudziądz's Waldemar Wawro. But to his dismay, Waldemar Wawro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to K.S. Karpaty Krosno getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Roman Kaczorowski hit a great ball. Andrzej Logewnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Czerniejewski in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to K.S. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Roland Czerniejewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Republika Grudziądz's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Czerniejewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrzej Logewnik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Grocholski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Republika Grudziądz's goalkeeper Jedrzej Oborski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Waldemar Wawro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Republika Grudziądz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, K.S. Karpaty Krosno's goalkeeper Andrzej Logewnik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldemar Wawro. Roland Czerniejewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Andrzej Logewnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kazimierz Hoffman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Hoffman in the 41st minute of play forced Republika Grudziądz's goalkeeper Jedrzej Oborski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roland Czerniejewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Norbert Okropny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kazimierz Hoffman had several of the Republika Grudziądz's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Jedrzej Oborski as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of K.S. Karpaty Krosno booed when Republika Grudziądz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Madajczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Kazimierz Hoffman in the 61st minute really tested Jedrzej Oborski's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grzegorz Nakonieczny during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, K.S. Karpaty Krosno's Grzegorz Nakonieczny got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in K.S. Karpaty Krosno's zone, Waldemar Wawro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrzej Logewnik came out of the goal and Waldemar Wawro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kazimierz Hoffman in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jedrzej Oborski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Roland Czerniejewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Marek Limanowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. K.S. Karpaty Krosno's Grzegorz Bulkiewicz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Jedrzej Oborski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 82nd minute of the match K.S. Karpaty Krosno got a corner. Republika Grudziądz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kazimierz Hoffman ran over to the corner to take the kick. K.S. Karpaty Krosno's Kazimierz Hoffman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jedrzej Oborski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kazimierz Hoffman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Czerniejewski in the 85th minute of play forced K.S. Karpaty Krosno's goalkeeper Andrzej Logewnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Grzegorz Nakonieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. K.S. Karpaty Krosno's Roman Kaczorowski got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Chlebek kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
