Wasyl Karpinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wieslaw Czubski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrzej Logewnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Karpinski in the 32nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Kazimierz Hoffman made the kick off in the second half. Kazimierz Hoffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lucjan Budzyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrzej Logewnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasyl Karpinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kazimierz Hoffman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Budzyn having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the K.S. Karpaty Krosno players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
