Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bernard Smolarek got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th match minute, Sanok-Kurii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Smolarek to maneuver through the defense. Julian Konieczny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Bernard Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sanok-Kurii's Wladyslaw Lichniak got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Watarz in the 21st minute of play forced Marjak's goalkeeper Julian Konieczny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Konieczny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Smolarek in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Alfred Imbor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marjak's Julian Konieczny was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariusz Glogowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tobiasz Przewozik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Konieczny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Imbor in the 41st minute of play. Julian Konieczny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Smolarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariusz Glogowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alfred Imbor came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sanok-Kurii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Imbor couldn't finish the play. Julian Konieczny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Smolarek in the 61st minute of play. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fryderyk Watarz sped through Marjak's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julian Konieczny. If Bernard Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfred Imbor fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sanok-Kurii's protests and gave Alfred Imbor a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sanok-Kurii's Alfred Imbor got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 79 played minutes Sanok-Kurii got a freekick which was hit by Bartlomiej Paprotny. 80 minutes into the match, Marjak's Mariusz Glogowski broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fryderyk Watarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernard Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Konieczny having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Bernard Smolarek rounded Marjak's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2.
