An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Hodas in the 19th minute of play forced Smereko's goalkeeper Jerzy Dunajski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Smereko's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Werra came free, but Jerzy Dunajski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Pietrasz in the 26th minute of play forced Ski Squad Petrzalka's goalkeeper Roch Markowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerzy Dunajski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Nigbor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play, Ski Squad Petrzalka's Fryderyk Werra made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerzy Dunajski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Igor Nigbor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Dunajski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the Smereko defense, Igor Nigbor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerzy Dunajski. The Smereko fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerzy Dunajski should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Karol Pietrasz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jerzy Dunajski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Nigbor, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 minutes, Lucjan Gejda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smereko and the Ski Squad Petrzalka players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Smereko was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Gejda to maneuver through the defense. The Smereko players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ski Squad Petrzalka were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Nigbor to strike the kick off in the second half. Teofil Miecznikowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Markowski having to interfere. Ski Squad Petrzalka's Fryderyk Werra got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Lucjan Gejda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Markowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Smereko's goalkeeper Jerzy Dunajski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Hodas. If Karol Pietrasz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Smereko supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ski Squad Petrzalka's performance. The match ended with a win for Ski Squad Petrzalka.
