When Ciro Mameli came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ponure Knury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Mameli couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ponure Knury getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Wasyl Kolacki hit a great ball. Wincenty Wejta's late challenge caught a Ponure Knury's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wincenty Wejta helped the player get up and apologised. 23 minutes into the match, Ciro Mameli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zbyszko Ciempa. Jawany Górka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Mameli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliks Latocha made a kick off. Ciro Mameli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Zbyszko Ciempa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Ciarrocchi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ke Qing Ke had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Wincenty Wejta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jawany Górka's zone, Boudewijn Tinge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszko Ciempa came out of the goal and Boudewijn Tinge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tolek Domeracki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Ciempa having to interfere. Feliks Latocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ke Qing Ke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play.
