The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Niedziela got free with Kacper Dombrowski in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Mogilska CF getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Radomir Peczkowski hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Mogilska CF got a freekick which was hit by Radomir Peczkowski. Bogumil Zdeb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Olgierd Brak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olgierd Brak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Zawada in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Widzew Łódź SSA booed when Mogilska CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryszard Petka didn't get a good kick on the ball.
