Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tadeusz Jaszcz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Kensicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zagłębie's Jakub Wlodyga got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Radowit Zurawski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miromir Kensicki in the 21st minute of play forced Zagłębie's goalkeeper Tadeusz Jaszcz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Mateusz Furtok mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zagłębie and the GKS Katowice players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Zagłębie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Furtok to maneuver through the defense. Slawomir Turok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Tadeusz Jaszcz made a huge save. After taking down the ball on GKS Katowice's corner Tolek Kochanowicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tadeusz Jaszcz quite easily take care of the ball. Zagłębie's Tadeusz Jaszcz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miromir Kensicki in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tytus Kochniarczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zagłębie's supporters rose to their feet, but Tytus Kochniarczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konstanty Panasewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wawrzyniec Wawak to maneuver through the defense. Jakub Wlodyga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tolek Kochanowicz during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Tolek Kochanowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radowit Zurawski scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Konstanty Panasewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The GKS Katowice players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zagłębie were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miromir Kensicki was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Wawrzyniec Wawak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeusz Jaszcz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Zarobski in the 56th minute of play. Tadeusz Jaszcz came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by GKS Katowice's Miromir Kensicki. But to his dismay, Miromir Kensicki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 61st minute Jakub Wlodyga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeusz Jaszcz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Kensicki in the 66th minute of play. Tytus Kochniarczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Konstanty Panasewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jakub Wlodyga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, Tytus Majewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Katowice and the Zagłębie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tytus Majewski hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Zagłębie's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Zarobski came free, but Tadeusz Jaszcz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Miromir Kensicki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeusz Jaszcz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Lech Krzynowek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Konstanty Panasewicz having to make a save. Miromir Kensicki scored 3-1 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeusz Jaszcz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. GKS Katowice's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
