The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Chemik Czarnków:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flying Hollender:s goal. The referee gave Flying Hollender a penalty, 3 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Remigiusz Madej, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chemik Czarnków's Per Deckbergh. 0-1. Per Deckbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigiusz Madej, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyryl Posadzki hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Walery Marchewka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Flying Hollender's Cyryl Posadzki got a free kick in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Iwo Hejza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugeniusz Huk, 1-1. Walery Marchewka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugeniusz Huk having to interfere. Korneliusz Zaremba made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chemik Czarnków's Wincent Major. Flying Hollender's Eugeniusz Huk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Hejza in the 26th minute of play. If Lech Jerzyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Damian Raszek fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flying Hollender's protests and gave Damian Raszek a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chemik Czarnków booed when Flying Hollender was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Posadzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugeniusz Huk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iwo Hejza's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Eugeniusz Huk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Bycofski, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iwo Hejza was the one to do the kick off. Iwo Hejza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iwo Hejza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eugeniusz Huk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mieszko Borucki in the 64th minute of play forced Chemik Czarnków's goalkeeper Per Deckbergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, Flying Hollender was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Posadzki to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd match minute, Flying Hollender was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Posadzki to maneuver through the defense. Chemik Czarnków's Wincent Major quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Chants of Flying Hollender echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Chemik Czarnków had held the ball for most of the match.
