After a rather tough play, Zdroje SSA's Czeslaw Miazga got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Iwan Pisarczyk, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Tadeusz Latkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zdroje SSA's goalkeeper Ulryk Grocholski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aivaras Adomavičius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krzysztof Wachna in the 13th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Tadeusz Latkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeusz Latkiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeusz Latkiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the game, Slawomir Pawelczyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 25th minute, Stefan Okropny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Filip Sliwinski. In the 27th match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iwan Pisarczyk to maneuver through the defense. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Aivaras Adomavičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Brysz in the 34th minute of play. Wieslaw Brysz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aivaras Adomavičius having to interfere. In the 38th minute Wieslaw Brysz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aivaras Adomavičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Zdroje SSA booed when Zawisza Bydgoszcz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Glembin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Brummer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wieslaw Brysz to make the kick off. Tadeusz Latkiewicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulryk Grocholski came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeusz Latkiewicz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 53rd minute. Aivaras Adomavičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wieslaw Brysz in the 63rd minute of the match. Aivaras Adomavičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafal Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Wachna in the 68th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Aivaras Adomavičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cyryl Tomaszewski charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cyryl Tomaszewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zawisza Bydgoszcz booed when Zdroje SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Tomaszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball.
