Tolek Cupial made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Eric Brummer sent off a good shot on target. 3 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Dziuma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelsea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zawisza Bydgoszcz the free kick. Aureliusz Dziuma kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. When Konrad Glembin fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zawisza Bydgoszcz's protests and gave Konrad Glembin a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Konrad Glembin. 10 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Borczak came free, but Aivaras Adomavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eric Brummer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iwan Pisarczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Tadeusz Pietrowiak kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Tolek Cupial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Latkiewicz in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Borczak came free, but Aivaras Adomavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Sanocki in the 24th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Aivaras Adomavičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Edmund Sanocki notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Aivaras Adomavičius. Aivaras Adomavičius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Radowit Orling charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radowit Orling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zawisza Bydgoszcz! Tadeusz Latkiewicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tolek Cupial came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeusz Latkiewicz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Chelsea FC's Tolek Cupial got control of the ball when Eric Brummer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Tadeusz Latkiewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tolek Cupial. Chelsea FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeusz Latkiewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After having played for 44 minutes, Tadeusz Latkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeusz Latkiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeusz Latkiewicz succeeded in the game's 48th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmund Sanocki to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Tadeusz Latkiewicz made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chelsea FC's Tolek Cupial tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eric Brummer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Sanocki in the 67th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Aivaras Adomavičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Brummer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Chelsea FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Teobald Sebzda hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeusz Latkiewicz in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tolek Cupial prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Eric Brummer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
