The Scorpions Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrzej Kiepski should have stopped the shot. Andrzej Kiepski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Bădilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Marathon Kraków's Alfred Indyk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan Szkarpiak in the 20 minute of the game. In the 24th minute David Bădilescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Kiepski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Scorpions Team got a freekick which was hit by Jan Szkarpiak. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witomir Sienkowski got free with Maciej Smuskiewicz in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Bădilescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrzej Kiepski having to interfere. Marathon Kraków's Artur Skaradoski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Boleslaw Jaszyna, made in the 39th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Scorpions Team's Igor Zalipski got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Marathon Kraków's Edmund Szkarpiak broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The referee ignored Marathon Kraków's protests and gave David Bădilescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Marathon Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Tomasz Gumaro. Andrzej Kiepski was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Szymon Zagorski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Szymon Zagorski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The supporters of Marathon Kraków booed when Scorpions Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Trojanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Bădilescu in the 92nd minute of play forced Scorpions Team's goalkeeper Andrzej Kiepski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
