Korneliusz Raszkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Dlugi in the 10th minute of the match. Leonard Plucinik might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Korneliusz Raszkiewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Plucinik ran back to his position shaking his head. Wasyl Dlugi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 22 minutes, Leonard Plucinik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TS Olimpia Poznan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Plucinik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Korneliusz Raszkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Plucinik, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Feliks Praski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Korneliusz Raszkiewicz made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Wasyl Dlugi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Górnik Zabrze's Julian Pankiewicz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Korneliusz Raszkiewicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wasyl Dlugi went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Górnik Zabrze's Korneliusz Raszkiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Górnik Zabrze from getting a goal against them. After 40 minutes, Konstanty Karwowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Górnik Zabrze and the TS Olimpia Poznan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Konstanty Karwowski kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Korneliusz Raszkiewicz made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Wasyl Dlugi sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliks Praski was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Górnik Zabrze's goalkeeper Korneliusz Raszkiewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 52 minutes into the match Erik Bánhegyi climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Kazimierz Grajewski. The audience was convinced that Wasyl Dlugi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Korneliusz Raszkiewicz was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The supporters of TS Olimpia Poznan booed when Górnik Zabrze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beniamin Gacki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wasyl Dlugi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Korneliusz Raszkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Górnik Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Gacki. Wasyl Dlugi scored 4-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Korneliusz Raszkiewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Wasyl Dlugi came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the TS Olimpia Poznan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wasyl Dlugi couldn't finish the play. When Erik Bánhegyi fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Górnik Zabrze's protests and gave Erik Bánhegyi a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Leonard Plucinik put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Korneliusz Raszkiewicz. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TS Olimpia Poznan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Górnik Zabrze had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
