When Jurand Iwaszko fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pretoria Olsztyn's protests and gave Jurand Iwaszko a yellow card for diving instead. Jurand Iwaszko hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd match minute, Pretoria Olsztyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Luty to maneuver through the defense. Treugenfliess's Stefan Biskupiak got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Igor Marczyniec tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walery Kloczko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 95th minute, Jurand Iwaszko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonard Burowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the referee blew the final whistle, Pretoria Olsztyn could leave the field as winners, despite Treugenfliess having more of the ball for most of the match.
