The tension between the Borussia Dortmund and the Golen SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barnaba Pilitowski kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Leszek Giec struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ulryk Wiatrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golen SSA. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Golen SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiusz Ostrowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Olaf Dziatkowicz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Ulryk Wiatrak. Ulryk Wiatrak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Radoslaw Ewertowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Rostow, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ulryk Wiatrak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leszek Giec in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Leszek Giec managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golen SSA's supporters rose to their feet, but Leszek Giec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulryk Wiatrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Miromir Czermak got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walery Kensicki during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Walery Kensicki hit a great ball. Olaf Ochylski kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Daniel Mindykowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Radoslaw Ewertowski skillfully saved the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barnaba Kostka was the one to do the kick off. Leszek Giec took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulryk Wiatrak. Ulryk Wiatrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 55 minutes into the match, Leszek Giec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulryk Wiatrak. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leszek Giec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ulryk Wiatrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Dziatkowicz in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Wiktor Rostow was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golen SSA the free kick. The supporters of Golen SSA booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnaba Pilitowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Golen SSA. Miromir Majczyk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ulryk Wiatrak. 4-0. In the 85th minute Leszek Giec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Wiatrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund's zone, Olaf Dziatkowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulryk Wiatrak came out of the goal and Olaf Dziatkowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Golen SSA's Olaf Dziatkowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute Leszek Giec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Wiatrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leszek Giec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulryk Wiatrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Giec in the 98th minute of the match.
