Chojny Grochów's supporters rose to their feet, but Wojtek Kowalczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobald Motowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Chojny Grochów's Miroslaw Szymkowiak got a free kick in the 6th minute. Norbert Chmelyk was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Edward Perkowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Perkowski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With an all-out effort, FC DNA Elbląg's Norbert Chmelyk threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edward Perkowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 24 minutes into the game, Arkadiusz Damazki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Norbert Chmelyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iosif Rădulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Chmelyk having to interfere. When Wojtek Kowalczyk came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Chojny Grochów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wojtek Kowalczyk couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Wlodzimierz Kojder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chojny Grochów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Wojtek Kowalczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Perkowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Norbert Chmelyk made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Perkowski to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Iosif Rădulescu made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Chmelyk. Chojny Grochów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Norbert Chmelyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Kopacz in the 60th minute of the match. Norbert Chmelyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Rădulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miroslaw Szymkowiak during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camillo Pesce was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chojny Grochów! Norbert Chmelyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Augustyniak in the 93rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Chojny Grochów defense, Arkadiusz Damazki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norbert Chmelyk. The Chojny Grochów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norbert Chmelyk should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC DNA Elbląg fully deserved thier win.
