The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernard Dembowski during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. WZG Sandomierz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mareese SA the free kick. In the 17th minute, Rafal Ludwiczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessio Gaspari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Pruss in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to WZG Sandomierz getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Cwenar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Roman Cwenar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gwidon Warka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zbyszko Milko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcin Dulemba to make the kick off. After 58 played minutes Mareese SA got a freekick which was hit by Damian Wawrukiewicz. Gwidon Warka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, WZG Sandomierz's Bogumil Kaczanka got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Zbyszko Milko. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Warka in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zbyszko Milko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Marcin Dulemba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Gaspari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mareese SA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Marcin Pruss hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Marek Merski got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Wieslaw Juroszek fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WZG Sandomierz's protests and gave Wieslaw Juroszek a yellow card for diving instead. After 97 played minutes WZG Sandomierz got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Juroszek. 99 minutes into the match, WZG Sandomierz's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Dulemba came free, but Alessio Gaspari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Mareese SA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
