The audience thought a goal was coming when Kazimierz Ciszewski got free with Marcin Czerwinski in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee felt a red card was in order, 42 minutes into the game, when Edmund Kiewra put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Cementralniści Żory's Marcin Majewski got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcin Czerwinski. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucjan Hryc was the one to do the kick off. Lucjan Hryc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Skirzynski having to interfere.
