Fernandinio were furious when Damazy Czaplicki was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 19th minute, David Júdice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Andrés Alcott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrés Alcott stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Fernandinio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Przemyslaw Soszka should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Fernandinio's zone, Esteban Lekubegi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Przemyslaw Soszka came out of the goal and Esteban Lekubegi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Przemyslaw Soszka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnoud Ooms went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
