After 5 minutes, Ludomil Frodyma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zakolove Kociewie and the Czarne Mamby players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Zakolove Kociewie getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ludomil Frodyma hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the game, Zakolove Kociewie's Witold Dziatkowicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliver Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Oliver Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boguslaw Przybylo in the 20th minute of the match. Wiktor Wysocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Magdziarz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zakolove Kociewie's Piotr Olchowy got a free kick in the 29th minute. Jan Rostow kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Leszek Jarosiewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th match minute, Zakolove Kociewie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Frodyma to maneuver through the defense. Donell Tush kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Oliver Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witold Dziatkowicz in the 46th minute. A collision led to Czarne Mamby getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Borys Golota hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witold Dziatkowicz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Vaino Üürike reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wiktor Wysocki. The goal made the score 1-1. If Vaino Üürike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute of the match, Ryszard Luty tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wiktor Wysocki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zakolove Kociewie's Wiktor Wysocki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Zakolove Kociewie from getting a goal against them. Zakolove Kociewie's Witold Dziatkowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Czarne Mamby's Vaino Üürike got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiktor Wysocki came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Czarne Mamby's Miromir Magdziarz. But to his dismay, Miromir Magdziarz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 92nd minute of the match, Vaino Üürike got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wiktor Wysocki was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Dziatkowicz in the 94th minute of play forced Czarne Mamby's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czarne Mamby's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
